The Manitowoc Gun Club held its first registered skeet shoot in over 20 years, July 20-21, 2019. The club ended up with 25 shooters for the weekend and some great scores were shot. Two shooters from Michigan came and camped for the weekend along with one couple from Wausau, WI. We battled some weather Saturday but was rewarded with beautiful weather Sunday.

Saturday after shoot-offs we had a wonderful steak dinner, with excellent camaraderie. Mike Peterson was our HOA winner with a 396 and Mike Hass runner up with a 388. Don Kelly took runner up in 12ga with a 99 to Mike Peterson’s 100. 20ga champ was Mike Peterson with a 99, and Mike Hass was runner up with a 98. Mike Peterson won the 28ga champ with a 100 and Jim Decker took runner up with a 99. 410 again was taken by Mike Peterson with a 97 and runner up David Ruokolainen with a 96. Lastly doubles champ was David Ruokolainen with a 94 and Mike Peterson with a 93. Full results posted here and pictures on the WSSA Facebook page.

We couldn’t have done this without all the volunteer help from our club members. Also, a big thanks to all our sponsors. Shoots do however need shooters to make them a success and we had some of the best, that made it to our first-time shoot. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Manty Muskrat 2019. Hope to see more of you next year.
