The annual meeting was called to order at 10:10 by
President Dave Maas
Minutes from 2004 Meeting: Motion made by Mark
Wisinski and seconded to accept as presented. Approved.
President’s Report, Dave Maas:
- Distributed preliminary 2005
Wisconsin shoot schedule
- Announced the 2004 All State
Team based on HAA averages
- Rookie was overlooked;
Paul Friesen will be added as 2004 Rookie.
Treasurer’s Report, Kris Pinkerton:
- Distributed copies of the
treasurer’s report.
- Balance as of 12/31/04,
$7511.08
- WSSA is current with the IRS
in regards to 501C37 status at this time
- Jim Kinderman audited the
treasurer’s records and stated the records were accurate
- John Tans made a motion to
accept the treasurer’s report, second and accepted.
New Business:
- Mark Wisinski made a motion
to move the annual meeting back to the state shoot. No second, motion failed.
- Advantages: More
attendees
- Disadvantages: Lack of
time to make decisions, more business like atmosphere at current time,
shooters missed the meeting due to shooting time
- Motion made by Pete Lorge,
second by Orrin Piepenburg to keep the business meeting the first Saturday
in February. Motion passed.
- 2005 WSSA Championship.
Dave Maas discussed the board met 1/10/05. A proposal form was developed and
will be distributed to the three gun clubs with 6 fields, Green Bay,
Waukesha, and Sauk Prairie. The gun club representatives can fill out the
proposal and return to Dave Maas by 3/1/05 if they are interested in hosting
the 2005 Championship.
- Tour: 32 participants
completed the tour in 2004. The Tour will continue in 2005. The tour shoots
have not been determined yet and Dave Maas will publish in the near future.
The problem last year was getting the scores in before
the next shoot. A form will be developed for the gun clubs so the gun club can
send in all the tour scores at the end of the shoot
- Website: Bob Ehrgott
reported the website is not active but the name wssa.org can still be obtained
for a $35.00 fee. The website is useful for out of state shooters to view
upcoming shoot programs. Motion made by Bob Ehrgott to reestablish the
website with the same webmaster, second by Jim Decker, accepted. Dave Maas and
Bob Ehrgott will coordinate and Bob will be the liaison with the webmaster.
- Computer; The existing
computer and accessories are obsolete and not functioning. The board plans to
buy a laptop and the Valerio skeet program so gun clubs may use.
- All State team. Discussion
on best way to choose, HAA, HOA, point system. Majority of states determine
by HOA or HAA. Committee organized to determine the state team system for
2005: Pete Loge, John Tans, Jim Decker, and Kris Pinkerton
- Zone Representative report,
John Tans: Waukee, Iowa, second full weekend in August, published as a four
day shoot, not determined yet if 3 or 4 day shoot.
- 2005 State Shoot:
Discussion regarding sites, ads. Jim Decker stated Brown County would be
willing to have the Hall of Fame permanently displayed if guaranteed the state
shoot yearly. Motion by Mark Wisinski, second by Bob Ehrgott to allow Green
Bay to have the state shoot yearly. Motion failed .
- 2006 Meeting: First
Saturday in February 2006.
- Election of board members.
Kris Pinkerton announced the nominations by the nominating Committee: Three
openings for three year terms. Kris Pinkerton, unopposed, Dave Hovarter,
unopposed, Becky Hovarter, unopposed. One year term: Judy Decker,
unopposed. Call for nominations from the floor: none. Ballots distributed.
John Tans motion and second to accept the slate as unanimous and eliminate the
voting. Passed.
- Motion and second to
adjourn, passed. Meeting adjourned at 11:15.
